Milestone is located a half hour's drive south of Regina on highway 6. We have a total of 22 teachers and support staff employed at Milestone School. There is a Kindergarten to grade four building, and a grade five to grade twelve building that service the needs of over 200 students. There are many advantages to having a Kindergarten to twelve schools, the biggest benefit being that having so many different age groups together provides a more "family" atmosphere. Naturally, the older students act as role models to the younger students. Also, Milestone School is an integrating school, which means that it provides special teaching to kids with disabilities. Having students with disabilities in the school makes the students more understanding and accepting.

The school offers a variety of sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, track and field and a new sport starting in the fall of 2011, flag football. It also offers a variety of activities such as drama club, yearbook and SRC. During the year, guest speakers, spirit days, cultural days and field trips make the experience more interesting for the students.

Milestone school displays leadership and determination. The staff and students of Milestone School are a strong bunch and are always up to a challenge, whether it is helping out around the community or being a "reading buddy" to a grade one student. We at Milestone and could not be more proud of our small school because we exemplify hard work, respect and enthusiasm.

Playschool

We also have classes for the younger ones in our families. We have a 3 year old class as well as a 4 year old class. The 3 year olds attend classes Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 till 11:30. The 4 year olds attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 till 11:30. We are very lucky to have it held in the basement of the United Church here in Milestone.
